Woven in the airy Kota check the fabric is named for, this dress is deliberately, unapologetically sheer — the kind of lightweight you only get from true Kota cotton silk. A an embroidered floral applique sits at the bodice, its petals shaded in rust, mustard and dusty blue thread work, running down into fine pintuck stitching at the waist. A row of gold-capped latkans finishes the empire waistline before the skirt opens into soft box pleats that move with you — from a  Beach sunset walk to dinner reservations at Marina bay Sands.
