A Dress That Shifts With the Light

Some fabrics hold one colour. Kota Doria holds a mood. This handkerchief-hem dress moves between grey and brown depending on where you're standing and how the light falls on the sheer silk weave — cool and slate-toned indoors, warmer and taupe-toned in daylight. It's less about picking a shade and more about letting the fabric decide for you.

Cut in a sleeveless, round-neck silhouette, the dress falls loose from the shoulder with a  centre-front  that lets it swing rather than cling. The handkerchief hem — pointed panels that fall at staggered lengths — adds movement without adding weight, so it reads elegant on a still day and slightly alive on a breezy one.

The silk Kota Doria itself is airy and sheer, with the crisp, lightly textured hand this weave is known for — which is why it comes with  inner slip in soft viscose (shantoon) so you get the shape and modesty without ever losing that translucent drape on top.
